Dear all,
I've gone from tribe to tribe in the last few days - from a compassion cultivation retreat, and now at the American Psychiatric Association annual meeting, where I am presenting on two panels. On Thursday, I'll rejoin my third tribe - CAAMFest! I look forward to possibly seeing you there.
Facebuddha just won the Nautilus Silver Book Award for Religion/Spirituality of Eastern Thought!
And... I just found out that Thich Nhat Hanh won the Gold! So I can't reaaaaalllly complain. I came in second to the Beyoncé of Buddhism himself! Alright, it's not about comparison and status, of course - but wow, I can casually connect a Nobel Prize nominated Vietnamese Zen monk to my work! I did quote him in my book, so maybe that's what put me over the top !
Save the date for the following appearances live and on-air (discussing Mental Health Awareness Month and more)

(And a reminder about the Facebuddha Mindfulness Challenge during Mental Health Awareness Month!)
As most of you know, I'm the CAAMFest Superfan. Here are a few blog posts highlighting a few of the films I've already seen -
MOSF 13.2 - CAAMFest36, A love that will love you back (about several documentaries, and some spiritual/relational musings)
MOSF 13.3 - Susaneland (an interview with Susane Lee and Andrew Olsen, creators of a hilarious series of shorts)
MOSF 13.4 - Films for Every Pore (about some of the shorts programs, and other films about art in the Central Valley, and undocumented immigrant youth in Oakland)
