Hello friend!
Thanks for staying on this quarterly email list! This time, I've got some news about CAAMFest 2015 in SF, Oakland and Berkeley from March 12-22. I transform to SUPERFAN this week, taking most of the week off to watch and review films at this "Cannes of the Asian American film circuit"! I've been writing the "Memoirs of a Superfan" blog for 10 years now, and have already written four installments this year.
Memoirs of a Superfan Volume 10.1: An Old Goat Chews on a New Year - a loopy and loony take on the Lunar New Year
Memoirs of a Superfan Volume 10.2: The Year 40 - about films related to Cambodia and Vietnam in this important anniversary year
Memoirs of a Superfan Volume 10.3: Volleying with the TOP SPIN directors - an interview with Mina T. Son and Sara Newens about their FANTASTIC table tennis doc, great viewing for the whole family
Memoirs of a Superfan Volume 10.4: Reflections on vulnerability in this year's most outstanding films (that I've seen so far, anyway!)
Hope to see you at the Festival! Buy tickets and see the whole lineup at www.CAAMFest.com
All my MOSF posts can be seen here (most years) and here (2013). Keep checking back at the CAAMFest website for more blog posts during the week!
All the best,
Ravi
