patient, child, student
lover, friend
the wounded, the suffering
the difficult ones
the egos with means and ends,
honor them all
you sit in their palm
your light lights them

Buddha said
be a lamp unto yourself
also, you are not separate
from the world
be a lamp unto yourself
illuminate the world
with your soul

you sit in the palm of the world
read her lines
with love
remind her
of love
when her fist curls against you
help her open her hands again
to love
when she closes, in pain

just like Buddha
standing,
right palm raised
Fear not
left palm facing forward
Benevolence

we are each other’s hands, eyes, feet and song.
we are in each other’s palms.

we are all
Buddha.
together,
we make Buddha.

Fear not.
Let us help.

be a lamp unto yourself.
also,
you are not separate
from this world.

remember.
open your hands.
fear not.
help.

heal.
