36 Views of SF: 27. Poem about the Moon
July 2, 2018
co-written by members of my Cambodian community group at RAMS, Inc. in response to the questions “How does seeing the moon make you feel? What does it make you think about?”
Beautiful. Happy.
I see the moon.
I feel small and lonely
when I see the moon.
I wish I could live
on the moon.
Who else sees what I see
when I’m looking at the moon?
We are all meeting
in sight of the moon.
Maybe someone I love
is looking at the moon.
Oh moon!
Give rice, fish and water
for my child!
Oh moon!
Give us peace!
